Missing barista's remains found, neighbor arrested

GRESHAM, Ore. ? Authorities say they have recovered the body of 21-year-old Whitney Heichel, the Starbucks barista from Oregon who went missing earlier this week, and have arrested an acquaintance in her death.

Police arrested 24-year-old Jonathan Holt of Gresham on Friday after several interviews, KGW-TV in Portland reported. Holt was a neighbor and lived in Heichel?s apartment complex. Police did not specify a motive in the woman?s death.

Heichel was last seen by her husband in their apartment Tuesday morning when she left for her work at a Starbucks, located about five minutes away from her home, police said.

Police discovered Heichel?s body on Larch Mountain.

?To say that this case brought fear and anxiety to the community is an understatement," Gresham Mayor Shane Bemis told the Oregonian on Friday. "Our law enforcement personnel and our community searched for Whitney as if she were a member of their own family."
