Workshop on digital skills open [Lebanon] | IJNet

Female youth in Lebanon can apply for a summer camp focused on technology and digital skills.

The Girl Geek Camp will select 25 girls to learn the basics of photography, video, blogging, social media, programming and more.

Applicants must be 15-18 years old, love computers and technology and want to get better by learning from the best women techies in Lebanon.

Topics will include how to create a blog, citizen journalism, using social networks like Facebook and Twitter to spread useful information, filming and editing via camera or mobile phone, coding languages and more.

Organizers are raising costs to cover the camp expenses, so campers can pay whatever they can afford.

The one-week camp will be held July 13-18. Apply by May 30.
