Communications Intern

Position:? Communications Intern

Function:
The Communications Intern will function as an integral member of the Communications Team providing assistance with current deliverables to meet Heifer?s growing communication needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Create messaging for heifer-wide projects and initiatives
  • Assist with production and distribution of the weekly electronic newsletter, the Friday Fast Blast (internal e-newsletter), by conducting research, writing, and editing content
  • Distribute the document via email
  • Post supporting documentation to Heifer?s intranet
  • Plan and implement events such as Live Time (Heifer?s worldwide all-staff meeting) and other activities
  • Produce multimedia messaging

Minimum Requirements:

  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Sensitivity to working with diverse cultures

Essential Job Function and Physical Demands:

  • Physical demands could include transporting and operating camera equipment for video shots
  • Position is located in Little Rock, Arkansas at Heifer International Headquarters
  • Position may be full time or part time depending on the candidate
  • Full-time schedule is Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. with occasional weekend or after hours work
  • Part-time schedule is Wednesday-Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m. with occasional weekend or after hours work
  • Paid internship
